In the Jade Darcy books, the Rix Kaf-Amur Ingesterie is a fine restaurant/bar on the interstellar transfer world of Cablans. Strange beings from all over the civilized universe come there to meet, socialize and conduct business. Jade Darcy is one of the bouncers there...but I hope I won;t need her special skills to maintain order in THIS ingesterie.

New look (and price!) for SCAVENGER HUNT
My sexy space romp Scavenger Hunt has just had a face lift. The content is still the same fun story, a race across the galaxy to visit exotic worlds and acquire strange objects, but the paperback version now sports a gorgeous new wraparound cover (a breathtaking Hubble photo of an area of new star formation). As someone with a love of astronomy, I think it's terrific.
The new price, I hope, is a little sexier, too: $17.99, two dollars off the previous price.
For those unfamiliar with the book's history: When the story was first published by Laser Books in 1976, they thought it was too long to appear in one volume, so they asked me to break it into 2 parts and make each part look like an independent novel. The results were Scavenger Hunt and Finish Line. While the story was still a lot of fun, it wasn't the story I'd originally envisioned. With today's more flexible publishing options, I was able to take out the artificial break in the narrative, update it a bit, and remove the bowdlerization that had toned it down. The old editions are still around as used books, but the new version is what I always wanted it to be. Visit Parsina Press to pick up a copy, either in paperback or ebook format.
